Lindsay Sutton (Edmonton, AB Canada) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice bridges drawing, textiles, and craft. A graduate of the Alberta University of the Arts, her work has evolved over decades through material experimentation, community engagement, and personal reflection.
Her current work centres on quilting and drawing as meditative, repetitive acts—slow processes that create space for healing, endurance, and contemplation. Informed by motherhood and her ongoing experience with cancer, it explores care, time, and the quiet persistence of making by hand. Through these acts, she considers how materials and gestures can hold memory, tenderness, and strength.
Her work has been featured in Uppercase Magazine, HGTV Canada, and the Edmonton Journal. She recently completed a residency at the Badlands Art Department, where she continued to explore the expressive and emotional potential of cloth and line.
