Krissya Iraheta is an emerging American-Canadian painter and sculptor currently based in Los Angeles, California. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Alberta in 2022 and her Fine Art Diploma from MacEwan University in 2019. In her practice, she explores themes and psychologies around trauma, religion, and sexuality based on her experiences as a displaced Salvadoran woman. 

Iraheta is an alumna of the New York Academy of Art’s Summer Residency Program (NYC, USA) and NE Sculpture Gallery Factory’s Artist’s Residency (Minneapolis, USA). She has also participated in SNAP Gallery’s Queen Mary Park Poster Project and Nina Haggerty’s RBC Emerging Artists Project. Previously, she has exhibited her works with the Art Gallery of Alberta’s Community Gallery, the New York Academy of Art, Harcourt House, the Stollery Gallery, artsPlace HUB Gallery, NE Sculpture Gallery Factory, dc3 Art Projects and FAB Gallery.
