Latitude 53 seeks a Communications Manager to join our team!

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Communications Manager is responsible for all elements of L53’s communications, including, but not limited to: establishing and implementing communications plans, managing newsletter communications, website updates and social media, creating print materials for exhibitions and events, member and volunteer communications, responding to press inquiries, submitting exhibitions/events listings, and supporting general gallery operations.

This is a permanent position beginning the week of November 9, with an hourly wage of $22.50/hr at 30 hours/week, and includes health benefits after a 3 month probationary period. L53 staff work hybrid: a combination of work-from-home and in person hours, Tuesday through Saturday.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will be driven and self-motivated with a passion for contemporary art and an eye for design and visual communications. They should have strong oral and written communication skills, and experience with Mac computer systems and office programs, including Adobe Suite (in particular InDesign and Illustrator). Organizational skills, innovative approaches to problem solving, and the ability to self-direct are all assets, as well as experience working with non-profits, arts organizations, or small businesses. Any design experience is also an asset, but not a requirement.
