Have you been thinking about applying for a grant to support your artistic journey, but not sure what that looks like for yourself as a Deaf/DeafBlind/Hard of Hearing person? Where do you even start?
Join us at our first-ever Invisible Café to learn more about the journey of an arts grant! This is a casual two-hour chat where Michelle will touch on the general opportunities available at Canada Council for the Arts, and Connor will share details of his artistic journey over the past five years through a grant funding lens. You can ask questions or share your vision for a project and get some immediate actionable steps to start developing your grant!
(This is also our soft launch for the Light+Vibrotactile interactive installation - you can be one of the first to experience everything hands-on!)
Saturday January 17 1pm - 3pm MST Latitude53 10130 100 St NW, Edmonton, AB (super close to Valley & Metro lines and several bus routes)
Michelle Schultz is the North Alberta liaison for CCA’s Alberta Focus Outreach Initiative, which seeks to build closer ties between Albertan artists and CCA’s programs.
The Invisible Café is our new programming series where we gather artists, allies, and supporters for casual talk-and-try sessions. Through this, we aim to build closer connections in the local community and deepen our common solidarity.
