Kyle Terrence | ‘Berta Boys Edition Launch + Event
The ‘Berta Boys: Gabriel Esteban Molina, Aaron Brown and Kyle Terrence.
In Spring, we worked with Kyle Terrence to produce a limited edition run of his ‘Berta Boys license plate, featured in his exhibition at Latitude 53, which contemplated the teetering instability of Alberta’s hyper masculine identity. We have launched the edition of 25 this week, available for purchase for $50 in our virtual bookshop, so grab yours quick!
All funds from the sale of the plates support our programming, with 50% of proceeds going directly to the artist.
The purchase of the edition includes an invitation to join the ‘Berta Boys (Kyle Terrence, Gabriel Esteban Molina and Aaron Brown) on the patio from 12-2pm on Saturday, August 8th for some socially-distant gallery time where you can pick up your edition, enjoy a beer or kombucha on the patio and catch the film one more time!
This event will be an afternoon for connecting from a healthy distance apart. Social distancing and safety protocols will be in effect. Masks and sanitizer will be available. License plates can be picked up any time from 12-5 on Saturday, August 8th or by appointment throughout the week.
Drinks courtesy of Blindman Brewing and Boocha.
After the event, join us as we walk to the Alberta legislature for the We Won't Be Silenced | Indigenous Lives Matter Rally, taking place from 1-4pm. We will have masks and water for those attending.
