Special Events Committee:
What: Through the hard work of our Special Events Committee Latitude 53 is able to host fun and dynamic fundraising parties like the Summer Rooftop Series, The Fine Art of Schmoozy and 53 Ways to Leave Your Lover.
Who: This opportunity is for you if you are interested in helping to make our fundraisers successful, you like working in a team, you have excellent follow through, you are interested in seeing what happens behind the scenes at fundraisers or you would like to have a fun time with other fun volunteers.
Why: We raise nearly half of our donations through fundraisers/Special Events. This is a large portion of our operating budget, and we strive to improve and grow and raise more so we can do more!
When: We are actively recruiting members to help organize events in 2008.
Installation Team:
What: We are looking to teach/train a team of individuals to be able to prepare the gallery for shows, hang shows, de-install and package art work.
Who: Anyone interested in the hands on work of spackling, hanging, and packaging artwork.
Why: We have decided to try and recruit eight to ten interested people so that we have a team of people trained to help. This should help lighten the workload of our Programming Officer, further helping Latitude 53 grow!

Contact Jessica Tse at 423-5353 or jessica.tse@latitude53.org if you’re interested.
